AMAZING FOOD!! Be prepared to wait awhile if you go for lunch, they are popular. They are great for a scrumptious small lunch or an extended romantic dinner. The only downside is the long wait time for receiving the food.

Somehow the food always tastes better when they make it in front of you! Also the restaurant was very kind to let us bring our own birthday cake, that they brought out with a candle for us. Thank you!

My favorite place to eat in Japantown.

What a disappointment! The food was mediocre and the chef was unfriendly and seemed very bored but did perform the usual tricks. The place was extremely noisy making it hard to talk with our friends. My Kahlua drink was tiny and I refused to accept it, to the chagrin of the server. This used to be a favorite of mine but I hadn't been there for a long time. A bummer of a birthday dinner last November at Benihana :-(

This is for the Concord location and my last 2 visits was the worst. It seems there is a new manager and he is very rude. We were seated before the table next to us but they was served and finished eating while we waited an hour for the chef. The chef is only given a small amount of the garlic butter so everyone at the table entire meal was cooked with regular butter totally unacceptable when thats one of the reason people love Benihana. The prices has went up but the service has gone down. Its not fair to the customers to lessen your service and food quality for the amount of money we spend at the restaurant. I always spend over $200 when we go. I also tried their takeout, the rice was mushy, the portions was very small, and the food was very nasty. Never again and this was my favorite restaurant, we usually go at least 4 to 5 times a month. So I will not be trying another locations to expensive to take chances on the food and service.

Went in to have dinner for a friend’s birthday & had a white glass sauce bowl dropped & cracked on my head. Assistant manager was rude, general manager apologized & asked for my address to send something as an apology but never even sent anything. Disappointed.

It's always fun there. Bring the kids, they'll love it! The food is on the pricier side but nonetheless good.

Food is absolutely fantastic and the price is very reasonable for San Francisco. But really we are all here for the show and seeing the chef cooking at your table. Now the negatives: we asked for hot sauce and the waitress never brought it. Couple of birthdays in our table and we said it but no happy birthday songs. Guy at reception was a bit rude

Food was great and the chef was awesome as well. However, I gave 4 stars because our reservation was for 8:15 and we didn’t get seated until 9:30. Our table also seemed a little rushed because the restaurant was closing, so we were walking out with the employees. Not very good service in that regard.

The place offers an awesome variety of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. Staff members are always friendly, pricing is convenient and the spot is always well organised.

The chef at our table who shall remain unnamed kept telling us it was his first day. I suspect it may have been true because the performance was ok at best. I feel as if it wasn't true though. I came in the next day and he claimed it was his first day again.Food was pretty tasty though but that man was full of lies.

Awesome chef. Very fun but slow. Waitress took long time to get things. Ambiance was very nice. Reservation wound up 1/2 hour later and table next to us wound up getting served and completed before us

Went for happy hour with friends, food was great as usual. The Benihana Punch, definitely didn't have enough rum in it.

Dinner was good, show from cook was great! 4 stars because of price, but you're paying for the fun show!

good place to bring kids and family, especially because they have a birthday special. kids will definitely enjoy the tricks the chef does. Food is pretty good - i liked the fried rice. I'd say things could be more flavorful.

This place is my favored. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The team is very amicable and the food they serve is so appetizing. I never miss an opportunity to have a good meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Wow this place is amazing, I think everyone should at least try it once. It's a great experience.

Great food and great atmosphere + food!The workers here are excellent as well!It cam be quite loud so if you're looking for somewhere quiet and such, this isn't the place for you.But if you're looking for a very casual, fun and exciting place to hang out with friends, it's the perfect place!

It is a good place to visit if you like the food cooked before you and have some entertainment. Tasty food and lot of fun.

Had to wait an hour in a half to be served a rice bowl with the smallest portion of seafood I have ever been charged for a 40 dollar plate. And Worst the quality was horrible; everything tasted like butter!!!! I didn’t plan on eating butter for five courses. #Benihana=bad service long waits and overpriced

I had my Birthday celebration in here, and everything was awesome. The chef and staffs are friendly. The foods are excellent. Maybe if they improve the service a little bit faster and not make the customers wait too long that would be a plus.

We had a reservation and they promptly seated our party of 4. Waitress was fantastic and attentive. Chef put on a good show and the food was great. Will definitely go again when we're back in the city.

Not a great experience. The food was below average and the service was unfriendly. They gave us the more expensive menu first, and pushed back when we asked to see the menu with more affordable options which we knew existed. Eventually, they admitted they had them and we were able to choose from there. The wait to get our food was very long to the point where we had someone leave our table and put our name in at a nearby restaurant. While we were waiting, service never came by us to give us any updates. There are much more friendly and more delicious places to eat nearby.

I only rate it 4 because of the wait. Food was delish had a great time

My experience was not a good one. My reservation was right in time and we were seated promptly and in a friendly fashion. The problem was the service to our table was way too slow. The table next to us that had been seated after us actually got their beverage order first. Now that I could live with but after waiting 40 minutes our Chef still had not showed up. Two tables that had been seated 10 to 15 minutes after us got their chefs first. I requested the check for our beverages at the 45 minute mark and went to the bathroom while waiting for it. When l got back the chef was there but my stomach had gone sour and I would not have enjoyed the meal. The party seated next to us also almost left, they were very unhappy. Sad that on a special occasion the mood was soured for my wife and I. PS, no apology was offered.
